Onboarding Malmö

Onboarding Malmö is a comprehensive programme designed to help internationals settle into life and work in the city. The programme offers a structured introduction to local culture, workplaces, and the business community. It includes group sessions, individual meetings, and activities such as bike tours, study visits and connections with professional Malmö, and social gatherings.

Participants can explore Malmö, learn about Swedish workplace culture, and build connections through dinners and networking events. The initiative focuses on fostering deeper understanding and practical integration for newcomers.

Onboarding Malmö is a collaboration between Media Evolution and the City of Malmö and co-financed by Region Skåne.

Helsingborg International Connections

Helsingborg International Connections (HIC) is a key resource for expats, providing a supportive network to help internationals settle into life in Sweden. Through English-speaking events and drop-in sessions, HIC offers valuable information about living, working, and studying in Helsingborg and Skåne.

HIC’s wide range of activities covers essential aspects of life in the region, helping international talents and their families navigate challenges and opportunities. Its events are an excellent platform for meeting others, building social and professional networks, and creating a sense of community.

International Citizen Hub Lund

Since 2015, the International Citizen Hub Lund (ICHL) has been a key player in securing the region's growth by supporting companies and organizations in recruiting and retaining international talent.

ICHL hosts over 100 events annually, providing valuable information and a welcoming environment for international employees and their families. The hub offers a weekly drop-in service and twice a year, a career program that helps spouses of international recruits and international Master’s students with their job search in Sweden. The overall goal is to enhance the experience in southern Sweden for employees, their families, and other internationals in the region.

Visit a service centre

Foreign talents in Skåne can visit one of The National Government Service Centre for help with a variety of services related to their relocation. The service centres provide in-person support in navigating digital services and offer guidance on government services from agencies like the Swedish Migration Agency, Swedish Tax Agency, Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and Swedish Public Employment Service. Assistance includes getting information about taxes, pensions, and social insurance, as well as offering general help with residency and work-related matters.
